Drop-in's are easier to fit and often do not require a mechanic.
Both in-line and drop-in catalysts work as well as each other. The main advantage with the In-line being easier removal and transfer to a new vehicle (with similar engine capacity) should you sell.
I have been using the Fitch Fuel Catalyst since early January 2002 and to date and I am very please with the results.
My bike is a Harley Ultra Classic weighing in at 370 kgs. The motor is modified with a cam, Mikuni 42mm Carb., Hyper-charger air filter. Vans and Hynes two in to one high performance exhaust system. Screaming Eagle ignition etc., which adds up to high fuel consumption.
The very worst consumption since using the fuel catalyst was 210 km /17 litres ( high speed motorway) up to 296 km /17 litres on a club run in the Southern Highlands. Average would be about 250 km to reserve.
Before it use to range between 169 to 235 km /17 litres average around 200 km to reserve, which made it difficult reaching fuel stops on country rides.
I have also noticed an increase in torque from the motor which is contributing to the improvement in fuel consumption.
I was very concerned with the high fuel usage and was considering putting the bike back to standard, but the catalyst has given me sufficient fuel economy, while still maintaining the high engine performance needed when you ride a Harley.

We have fitted a number of Fitch Fuel Catalyst to customers bikes having problems with detonation due to high compression pistons and lack of decent fuel. All have since indicated they have no problems even when using regular unleaded fuel.
